The yankees a bought team or what

hang on a sec there, there are other teams that just buy players, look at the red sox. they spend the second most amount of money right behind the yankees.
 
So what if the yankees are teh best team money can buy. My philosophy if you have teh money go ahead and spend it if you want.
 
No salary cap in baseball, no reason not to spend it if you can. But, best team money can buy is not in the Series.

That's because the money was spent incorrectly. The Yanks had a powerhouse offense with no pitching to back it up. They ended up with old vet pitchers (Brown) who wasn't consistent enough to bring in a championship.

On a side note, if Pedro is open for next season and the Yanks pick him up I will be extremely pissed off.
