ANAHEIM, Calif. Bernie Williams hit two homers and drove in six runs to help the New York Yankees to an 11-to-8 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Derek Jeter also hit a pair of home runs for the Yankees who managed to salvage the final game of the weekend series.
Williams and Robinson Cano (kan-OH') each had four hits for New York, which built an 8-to-0 lead after three innings and had to hold on.
The Angels scored five runs over the last three innings to make it close.
Jeff Karsten earned his first major league win, giving up three runs and six hits over six innings.
The loss went to Joe Saunders who lasted just two-and-a-third, giving up seven runs, eight hits and three walks. He's now 4-and-2.
