What is your favorite plane used in WWI? any type, any country.

My favorite has to be the Sopwith Camel. It was hard to fly for beginners and killed many of them, but in the hands of experienced pilots it was extremely good. Pilots flying Sopwith Camels shot down the most Germans during WWI.

I dunno, maybe it's a facination with large explosions....

I like the Golgotha heavy bomber. 8)

I will go with the Fokker "Eindecker" not only was it the first monoplane of WW1 it was also the first German aircraft to employ a synchronised firing mechanism for forward firing machine guns.

SE5a helped turn the tide. Without planes like SE5a bloody April would have become bloody May etc.

Aces High has the SE5a in it. Great machine, fast too!

Bristol Fighter great plane too. Was in service until about 1932 if I remember correctly.
