WW1 vets humour
When I was a young boy I would sit for hours listening to my granddad and his buddies, all WW1 vets. Their sense of humour often had me crying with laughter.

One of his buddies was a real character and related this story.

“I went home from the pub one night and found that I had left my keys at home, I threw a stone up at the bedroom window to get the missus to open the door. She opened the bedroom window and shouted down, “Sod off you drunken old bugger.”

I then decided to try an open a downstairs window, I found one unlocked, opened the window, climbed in, opened the front door, climbed back out the window and went in through the door. My missus was watching and called me an idiot.”

At this point everyone collapsed in laughter, what made it even funnier, the fella really didn't see why everyone was laughing.
