World War III ?

Korea? My personal guess would be that China would probably stay out of the thing altogether, possible try to mediate some sort of ceasefire, but not actively support the North.

Why do I think that? Because it really isn't in China's best interests to go to war with the western world over a tiny little country that's really just a problem for them anyway. The PRC's government is more concerned about it's own welfare, especially that of it's economy then it is about some shitty backward, and potentially dangerous country.


And as for the idea that the conflict in Libya is a prelude to a third world war, frankly it's rather unrealistic. The general theme of the last two is that there are large, influential powers backed up by smaller allies. This is nothing like that at all, for one, Gaddafi doesn't really have too many friends in the world. Nobody would really support him.
