Yep. There is a mistaken impression about the Russian military that women are only relegated to non-combat roles there; but, actually, while most of it's 90,000 female members are indeed nurses, communication technicians, secretaries, cooks, etc; there are also women's sniper corps being brought back, especially, a sin this case, in the Blue Berets, the Airborne Troops. The Pskov Airborne Troops Academy now trains female snipers. It's an old tradition over there, women-snipers, goes back to WWII, when female Red Army sharpshooters terrorised the Germans, taking out some high-ranking officers.
