Women, Children and Human Rights Abuses in the Mojahedin-e Khalq Press Conference: 15:30pm, Saturday December 10

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A press conference will be held to introduce the Family Network Association. Based in Sweden this new association has been formed to research and publicise the situation of women and children inside the Iranian Mojahedin-e Khalq organisation. In a press conference taking place on Saturday December 10, at 15:30 in Stockholm, the Family Network Association will reveal that many of the human rights abuses perpetrated by the MKO have taken place in western countries. In 1991 Scandinavia became the main base for children evacuated from the MKO's Iraqi army bases. Children were fostered and adopted outside the control of governmental agencies in those countries and this led to suffering and abuse for many of the children.

Critically, the conference will establish that human rights violations carried out by the Mojahedin in Europe were ordered directly by the leaders of the sect, Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.
A panel of speakers will address the press conference:
Alain Chevalerais, French journalist and author of the book 'Burned Alive'; Anne Singleton, British former member of the MEK and author of the book 'Saddam's Private Army'; Batoul Ahmadi, family of MEK members and founding member of the Family Network Association; In addition, former members will be available to answer questions on the MEK.
Entry to the press conference is by invitation or press card only.
