Basically the defendants are trying to argue that it is not legal to use wiretaps to ensnare corporate executives. Looks like the authorities are pretty confident that this move will not work and that wiretaps have been used to ensnare criminals involved in organized crime before.

Funny how they had to add the part about "expanding government." Wonder where they got that one from. :rolleyes:

If all else fails, play the race card. :lol:
 
They have to realize how sensitive the jury is going to be to investor fraud. I guess they are really grasping at straws.
 
Most legal scholars don't feel that the defense has a chance with this line. I agree. I also feel that the prosecution should lock them up and throw away the key.
