Winter Olympics

Look at that... Norway finally woke up and joined the Olympics... a couple of gold yesterday... however... US is still out front in the medals.

A Chinese woman won the 1,500 speed skating... Korea got silver and bronze after the American speed skater Katherine Reutter collided with the one who came in 2nd.
Should have been a gold... oh well.
 
They only showed clips of it here. They were more concerned with Bode Miller and the ice dancing. Because that's SO much more exciting than hockey. :roll:

I was pissed off about that.....Ice dancing is so friggin' boring.....
 
Oh, it was a rough night for this country.

But, our boys walked in there too confident, Brodeur made way too many mistakes (as did the rest of the team), and we lost it.
 
Sweden through to the quarterfinals after dismissing the Finns three to nothing.
Henrik Lundqvist is the only Swede to show good form thus far in the tournament but that has been enough up to this point.
Louie Eriksson is starting to produce wich will also be key.
Bäckström is starting to show budding form.

Time to let the real tournament begin.


US played a good game against Canada, tight defence and fast moving attacks when the canadians turned the puck over.
Canadians started their final push too late IMHO.
They could have gotten the win but they let it go too far.

As stated, the real tournament starts now.

So I'm seeing. The media coverage on that poor girl is almost suffocating! I think she's the most talented of the ladies, so I'm sure she'll easily pull out that win tomorrow. Although you really have to root for that little Canadian, Joannie Rochette. Losing her mom and skating with so much emotion. My heart breaks for her. :(
 
Wow, Sweden just got beat back by the Slovaks.:shock:
No one in the Swedish team gets a passable grade, they all sucked.

Time to close up the Olympics for this time.

Canada va Russia played a monster of a game and Canada are through.
If I were a gambling man my money would be on Canada vs the US in the final.
