Yes, and that is why i have my own opinion, I feel that it's "healthy"

I dunno what you are on, but I guess I missed the part where it says that i could not comment. I was of the opinion that, that is the reason the thread was started, so forum members could have their say???

What arrangements would you like to see? You condemn without offering a solution.

Give me a six figure salary, a budget that looks like the a Chinese telephone number, a staff of several dozen lackies and a big flash office in some beautifully appointed government building and I'll gladly offer you any amount of "solutions"

That is why there is a jury selection system. It is also why on my last jury duty, it took three days to select a jury for a trial that took 1 1/2 days to present the evidence.

And you
know that the system worked faultlessly?

You might not as the selection system seems to do a fair job of weeding out people who can't be impartial and fair to the defendant.
It is a pity you live in a country with system you don't believe in or support.

I never said I don't support my country, I
volunteered to go to war and fight for my country. There is a great difference between supporting my country, and agreeing with it's judiciary.
I'm damned certain i would not qualify, I would disqualify myself, not wishing to waste their time or mine. Which brings to mind the case of a lady here in my home state several years ago who tried to do the same,... she was threatened by court officials with being charged under some obscure Act for refusing to do her jury duty. It only came to light after the whole case was re judged and the accused set free.

You seem to indicate here you could not be fair and impartial, I am kind of surprised you even inserted the word "alleged" in your statement.

I'm bloody certain that I would not be impartial. I am a human being and I have my own set of values which do not always agree with the "Law". The law
per se may be great, but from what I read in the papers, those who implement it, are often fools.
One of the very things that casts doubt on your argument for me, is that you say that you have previously been selected for Jury duty,.... and yet here in this thread, you fail to show the least sign of "impartiality", something i would have thought was expected among jury members. I'd say they certainly got it wrong when they selected you.......
