For Centuries there was a point to declaring and waging War on your neighbor I mean there was a goal , land , water minerals , booty , treasure , slaves , whatever , but nobody would declare war to go broke especially to go 18 trillion into the hole .:p

The deficit has quadruped under the Obama administration, yet the military has seen large cutbacks.

We no longer can afford our guns and butter to with almost a 3rd of the population on some kind of government dole many of these people have been on the dole for 3-4 generations it is their way of life their entitlement cut them off and there will be riots such as you've never seen , so there is less money for military and more money for anarchy .

When the defense budget increases do you ever look at where the money goes? Endless pits of funding for needless programs from private corporations who have special interests groups in Congress and are major campaign funders?

Or for example Military Family Services and retirement programs?

We can raise the budget and blow money all day long but honestly people in Washington only start whining over funding for the military when a major contract is under threat or a large arms or military service deal for a foreign military aid partner is close to the bansaw.

And we still have veterans at home the whole while who can't get prompt medical care.

Instead of just being told "we need more funding" Why not look at where and why we need it first? Or even better, where are we bleeding all of our current budget at now?

Common theme anymore, just throw cash at things until stuff happens.
