Glenn Frey

Glenn Frey, one of the many hits he made when he went out on his own.. a single called "The One You Love"

He is best known as one of the two most popular and longest tenured members alongside Don Henley of "The Eagles", and as an intermittently successful solo artist in the decades since the band ceased being a full-time workng group.

He sang lead in this one..."Peacefull Easy Feeling".. lovely.

and another..one of my favorites.. I love this one.

"Best of my Love"

Every night I"m lyin' in bed, holding you close to my dreams
Thinkin' about all the things that we said and comin' apart at the seams
We tried to talk it over, but the words come out too rough
I know you were tryin' to give me the best of your love.

Beautiful places, loud empty places; look at the way that we live.
Waistin' our time on cheap talk and wine left us a little to give.
That same old crowd was like a cold dark cloud, we could never rise above.
But here in my heart , I give you the best of my love.

Thank you, Mr. Frey, for all the beautiful music you left us. We'll be listening to this for many years to come. We hand this music down generation after generation to stay alive forever- As music does.. as long as we keep sharing it.

The Beatles "Let It Be"
This will be playing at my funeral..

When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

Gonna be some sweet sounds comin' down on the night shift...
I know you're singing proud.. I know you're full of pride..
Gonna be a long night... gonna be alright on the night shift..
You've found another home..
I know you're not alone on the night shift.

Born down in a dead mans town
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground
End up like a dog that's been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up

Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A.

Got in a little hometown jam
So they put a rifle in my hand
Sent me off to a foreign landto go and kill the yellow man
Born in the U.S.A.

Come back home to the refinery
Hiring man says "son if it was up to me"
Went down to see my V.A. man
He said "son don't you understand now"

Had a brother at Khe Sahn fighting off the Viet Cong
They're still there he's all gone
He had a woman who lived in Saigon
I got a picture of him in her arms now

Down in the shadow of penitentiary
Out by the gas fires of the refinery
I'm ten years burning down the road
Nowhere to run ain't got nowhere to go

Born in the U.S.A.
I was born in the U.S.A.
I'm a long gone daddy in the U.S.A.
Born in the U.S.A.
I'm a cool rocking daddy in the U.S.A.
