What Are You Listening To Right Now

The Beatles, "Something" from the album "Abbey Road" released in 1969 and written by George Harrison.

Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way she woos me
I don't want to leave her now
You know I believe and how
Something in the way she knows
That I don't need no other lover
Something in her style that shows me
Something in the ways she knows
And all I have to do is think of her
Something in the things she shows me

"Don't Play That Song (You Lied)" covered by Aretha Franklin in 1970.

Don't play that song for me
'Cause it brings back memories
Of days that I once knew
The days I spent with you

Debussey and Ravel

Hi Sara, Debussy wrote some great music, try listening to his "3 nocturnes" as well and to the immensely lengthy and powerful piece "Daphnis and Chloe" written by his contemporary Maurice Ravel. I break it up with Oldies, Classical, Blues and Blue Grass.

David Gilmour performing "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun
Shine on you crazy diamond
Now there's a look in your eyes like black holes in the sky
Shine on you crazy diamond
You were caught in the crossfire of childhood and stardom
blown on the steel breeze
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr and shine
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon
Shine on you crazy diamond
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light
Shine on you crazy diamond
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision
rode on the steel breeze
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner and shine

George Harrison, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" 1968
I look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping
while my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
still my guitar gently weeps
I don't know why nobody told you
how to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
they bought and sold you
I look at the world and I notice it's turning
while my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
still my guitar gently weeps
I don't know how you were diverted
you were perverted too
I don't know how you were inverted
no one alerted you
I look from the wings at the play you are staging
while my guitar gently weeps
As I'm sitting here doing nothing but aging
still my guitar gently weeps

John Mayer, "Gravity" w/lyrics
I'll never know what makes this man
With all the love this heart can stand
Dream of ways to throw it all away...
