What Are You Listening To Right Now

Beach Boys, "Surfin' USA"

If everybody had an ocean across the USA
Then everybody'd be surfin' like California
You'd see 'em wearin' their baggies
Huarache sandals too
A bushy bushy blonde hairdo
Surfin' USA......

I sure heard that song a few times, although not in a bit. Ya they racked up some hits pretty quick. Actually from that era I was listening to the White Rome by "The Cream"
I even remember when it was in vinyl on the "Wheels of Fire Album"

Cream is one of my favorites, JOC. "Layla", "Sunshine of Your Love"

"White Room"

"Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes
Dawn light smiles on you leaving my contentment..."
"..Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves.."

and lead singer,Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight"
"It's late in the evening...she's wondering what clothes to wear..."

David Bowie's , "Fame" 1975

Fame makes a man take things over
Fame lets him lose, hard to swallow
Fame puts you there where things are hollow
Fame it's not your brain, it's just the fame
Fame burns your change to keep you sane

"Simply The Best"
I call you when I need you
and my heart's on fire
You come to me, come to me
wild and wire
You come to me, give me everything I need
You're simply the best...

Fiona Apple singing The Beatles, "Across the Universe" 1969

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither wildly as they slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy re drifting through my opend mind
Possessing and caressing me
Jai Guru Deva OM
Nothing's gonna change my world
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes
They call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe
Sounds of laughter, shades of life are ringing through my open ears
Inciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a millions suns
It calls me on and on across the universe.
Jai Guru Deva OM

Some classic Bruce Springsteen, AKA "The Boss" performing "Fire":firedevi:

I'm driving in my car, I turn on the radio.
I'm pulling you close, you just say no.
You say you don't like it, but girl I know you're a liar
'Cause when we kiss... oooh.. fire.

The Wallflowers, "One Headlight" 1997..lead singer Bob Dylan's son, Jakob Dylan.
So long ago, I don't remember when
That's when they say I lost my only friend
Well they say she died of broken heart disease
As I listened through the cemetery trees
I seen the sun comin' up at the funeral at dawn
The long broken arm of human law
Now it always seemed such a waste
She always had a pretty face
So I wondered how she hung around this place

Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There's got to be something better than
In the middle
But me and Cinderella
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight

George Harrison (former Beatle), "My Sweet Lord" released in 1970 on his triple album "All Things Must Pass"
My sweet lord
I really want to see you
Really want to be with you
Really want to see you lord
But it takes so long, my lord
My sweet lord
I really want to show you lord
That it won't take long, my lord (hallelujah)
Now, I really want to see you (hare rama)
But it takes so long, my lord (hallelujah)
My sweet lord (hare krishna)
Hm, hm (Gurur Brahma)
Hm, hm (Gurur Vishnu)
Hm, hm (Gurur Devo)
Hm, hm (Maheshwara)
My sweet lord (Gurur Sakshaat)
My sweet lord (Parabrahma)
My, my, my lord (Tasmayi Shree)

Wiki info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Sweet_Lord
The lyrics to "My Sweet Lord" reflect Harrison's often-stated desire for a direct relationship with God, and were worded with a simplicity that made them identifiable to all believers, regardless of denomination.
