Tyskie is a brand of beer from Poland. It is manufactured in Tychy by the Kompania Piwowarska company, a subsidiary of SABMiller.
It is currently one of the best selling brands of beer in Poland, with a share of over 14.7% of the Polish market in September 2004 (AC Nielsen).
The brewery was founded in 1629 and is said to have produced beer constantly ever since.

The two main types of Tyskie are:
  • Tyskie Gronie - based on a 17th century recipe. Light, full beer, mild yet relatively strong. 11.7% of extract and 5.7% of alcohol.
  • Tyskie Książęce - Light, full beer, slightly stronger than the other version produced by the brewery and with more carbon dioxide. 12% of extract, 5.7% of alcohol.
Both beers are sold in a variety of packaging, ranging from 0.5 litre bottles, through 0.66 litre bottles, 0.3 litre bottles, 0.5 litre cans, six-packs, 5 litre "party boxes" to 50 litre kegs.
Tyskie is sold in many countries all over Europe and in speciality markets outside of Europe such as the United States of America, New Delhi in India, Kuala Lumpur, and parts of Nigeria and the Ivory Coast.
