I was in NJROTC. We too traveled all over the United States in drill, PFT, shooting..ect competitions.
I had this USMC MgySgt, three tours in Vietnam, huge, musle bound and he tought me leadership from my freshman year right up to my senior year. I eventually made it to the rank of Batallion XO.
Those were some of the best times of my life and I will never forget them.
It's kind of wierd for me, though, looking back on my JROTC days; there was no such thing as the internet, computers..ect..ect.. I can only imagine how excited I would have been to come across a forum like this at that age.
I am involved in MCJROTC and we go around Va to competitions and generally have shooting at our home school... the thing is that there are only 2 MCJROTC schools in Henrico.
