What is the deal with Russia and Kyrgyzstan?

First it was Georgia, then Ukraine, now Kyrgystan! Who's next Kazakhstan? Why is Russia preventing pro-western leaders from taking power in former Soviet republics? Do they really think they could revive their old empire?

it's really a matter of their insecurity of letting westerners interfere into matters that are almost domestic. After all, would the u.s. tolerate china or russia intervening in events in mexico or south america after having dominance in those regions for over a hundred years?

Besides, georgia and the ukraine are right next to the russian federation, wouldn't you think that would be getting a little too close for comfort?
