~What book u reading?

"To Khartum With Kitchener"

Published in 1890, I found it in my grandfathers personal library. And I've just finished another from his collection. "The Lieutenant And Others" published 1924. A series of short memoirs from world war 1.

They are great books, and fascinating reading. I love reading books that old, just the worn feel of the leather, the smell of the pages. The ingrained dust. It makes it worthwhile.

This Man's Army by Andrew Exum.

Very matter of fact day to day recount of his experience in Afghanistan post 9-11 and how the author went from citizen to warrior. A very good read.

Just finished "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini, about the Taliban regime.
Now I'm reading "Typhoon" by Robin White
