West Virginia fans of NASCAR racing will have a home-grown reason to cheer in the 2007 race season – a West Virginia-based race team and a chance to be there when it all begins next season. Revelocity Racing, LP, created by four West Virginia natives, was established to provide much needed exposure for the state of West Virginia via competition in the Nextel Cup Series. Revelocity Racing was sanctioned by NASCAR earlier this summer and was assigned #73 for the Nextel Cup Series. The team is currently in negotiations with potential drivers for the 2007 season but has committed to the “Car of Tomorrow” schedule which includes 16 races in 2007. To choose that lucky fellow West Virginian, the team is hosting the “Ultimate Fan Experience” contest for one lucky fan. The prize package will feature Hot Passes and access to the REVELOCITY RACING team and driver for the premiere race at Bristol next year. To sign up, interested participants should attend the final race at Ona Speedway in Milton on Saturday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. or visit www.revelocityracing.com to enter.(MetroNews Radio Network)
