Warner, Leinart lead Cardinals past Bears

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart each threw a touchdown pass to lift the Arizona Cardinals past the Chicago Bears, 23-16 at Soldier Field in the third contest of the preseason for each team.
Warner, who started the game, completed 8-of-11 passes for 73 yards while Leinart, who looked ready to start in the NFL, was 15-of-21 for 144 yards.
J.J. Arrington rushed for 44 yards on 10 carries and Bryant Johnson caught three passes for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Rex Grossman threw for 117 yards on 13-of-21 passing with an interception for the Bears, who lost their second game of the preseason. Brian Griese went 10- of-14 for 131 yards and a touchdown.
Bears starting defensive end Alex Brown had to leave on the game's second play from scrimmage with a dislocated shoulder.
Chicago took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter with a 49-yard field goal by Robbie Gould.
In the second quarter, Warner connected with tight end Leonard Pope on a four yard TD pass to give Arizona a 7-3 lead.
After Chicago and Arizona traded field goals just before halftime, Leinart hooked up with Bryant Johnson for a four yard TD pass that capped off a seven-play, 42-yard drive, giving the Cards a 17-6 lead in the third quarter.
A pair of field goals by back-up kicker Nick Novak, including a 50-yarder, increased Arizona's lead to 23-6.
The Bears finally reached the endzone when Griese found J.D. Runnels for the two-yard score.
Gould cut it to 23-16 with a 27-yard field goal, his third of the game.
