Lee Greenwood ~ God Bless The USA ~ 1984
A video tribute to the US military...

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I'd worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I'd thank my lucky stars
to be livin' here today.
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can't take that away.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up next to you,
and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land.
God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minessota,
to the hills of Tennesse.
Across the plains of Texas,
from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston,
from New York to LA
Well, there's pride in every American heart,
and it's time we stand and say
Well I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free...

The Doors ~ "Unknown Soldier" ~ Album: Waiting On The Sun 1968,
...Jim Morrison's reaction to the Vietnam War

Wait until the war is over
And we're both a little older
The unknown soldier
Breakfast where the news is read
Television children fed
Unborn living, living dead
Bullet strikes the helmet's head
And it's all over for the unknown soldier

Disturbed's "Indestructable", from the album released in 2008.
A tribute to the US Military.

Another mission, the powers have called me away
to carry the colors again
My motivation, an oath I've sworn to defend
To win the honor of coming back home again

You will discover a war you're unable to win

I'll have you know
That I've become i
ndestructible
Determination that is incorruptible
From the other side, a terror to behold
Every broken enemy will know
That their opponent had to be invincible

Another reason, another cause for me to fight
Another fuse uncovered now, for me to light
My dedication to all that I've sworn to protect
I carry out my orders without a regret

No hesitation when I am commanded to strike
You need to know that you're in for the fight of your life
