Wikipedia, about this next song..

"Kosovo" is a parody of the Beach Boys hit song "Kokomo".[1] It was produced in 1999 by Seattle radio comedian/radio personality Bob Rivers. The song harshly criticizes US involvement in the Kosovo War:

In May, 2005, a group of Norwegian peacekeepers in Kosovo (calling themselves the "Shiptare Boys"[3]) parodied the music video for "Kokomo," using Rivers' song with their own hand-held video camera footage. In the parody, the soldiers imitate dance moves and scenes from the original music video in desolate war-torn areas around Kosovo. It was widely broadcast in the Balkans, prompting the Norwegian ambassador to formally apologize.

Pink Floyd ~ 'The Gunner's Dream'~ Album-Echoes: The Best Of Pink Floyd
The song tells the story and thoughts of a gunner as he falls to his death dreaming of a world without war.

Floating down through the clouds
Memories come rushing up to meet me now

In the space between the heavens
and in the corner of some foreign field
I had a dream
Good-bye Max
Good-bye Ma

After the service when you're walking slowly to the car
And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air
You hear the tolling bell
And touch the silk in your lapel
And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band
You take her frail hand
And hold on to the dream

A place to stay
"Oi! A real one ..."
Enough to eat
Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street
Where you can speak out loud
About your doubts and fears
And what's more no-one ever disappears
You never hear their standard issue kicking in your door
You can relax on both sides of the tracks
And maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control
And everyone has recourse to the law
And no-one kills the children anymore
Night after night
Going round and round my brain
His dream is driving me insane
In the corner of some foreign field
The gunner sleeps tonight
What's done is done
We cannot just write off his final scene
Take heed of his dream
Take heed

Thanks...and you're right, a little laughter never hurt anyone. .....I have another one to post but the music links aren't working. Link available until I can replace.

Black Sabbath, 'War Pigs' from 1970 album 'Paranoid'

...A song about power and judgment in the end times.

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses

Sorcerer of deaths construction
In the field the bodies burnin'
As the war machine keeps turnin'

The Battle of Wizna was fought between September 7 and September 10, 1939, between the forces of Poland and Germany during the initial stages of Invasion of Poland. According to latest sources under 720 Poles defended a fortified line for three days against more than 40,000 Germans. Although defeat was inevitable, the Polish defence stalled the attacking forces for three days and postponed the encirclement of Independent Operational Group Narew fighting nearby. Eventually the tanks broke through the Polish line and eliminated all the bunkers one by one. The last bunker surrendered around midday on September 10.

Rage Aainst the Machine ~ "Guerilla Radio" ~ Album:"The Battle Of Los Angeles" (1999)
Transmission third world war third round
A decade of the weapon of sound above ground
No shelter if you're lookin' for shade
I lick shots at the brutal charade
As the polls close like a casket
On truth devoured
A Silent play in the shadow of power
A spectacle monopolized
The camera's eyes on choice disquised
