...without the mess associated with a thread. Is there a way for you to set a thread/poll I create to be poll-only, without the ability to post in the thread?
 
Unless Redneck has some super freaky deeky Ninja Admin button somewhere .....then I'd say no because the thread would have to locked rendering your poll locked.

You could just set up the poll and ask that recipients only respond with the name of the candidate or undecided.

Not that I think the result will be much of a surprise on this board and chances are it will still break down into an excrement throwing contest but I am sure you could ask the mods to remove all off topic responses..
 
As it's been said, you can create a poll and ask not to get any replies..
Report any replies you get there and we'll delete them.. :smil:
