Waiver

My husband was in the national guard about 3 years ago. He failed a drug test and was discharged with a re3 code. We were told by a recruter that he could not come back. Other people have told us that since he had an re3 code he could get a waiver to come back. If so, HOW????? No one seems to know. He wants to go active army.
Thanks

Suggest he start by talking to a Army recruiter. If he won't or can't help talk to your Congressman. He would have to see a recruiter sooner or later so start there.

In theory RE3 can be waivered, but your going to need to jump thru alot of hoops and prove that you can be an asset despite the RE Code and the circumstances of discharge.
