In the Army the Fire Control Specialist, MOS 13F, is gotta be one of the best jobs going. This is from an old career Infantryman. I can't imagine the job being all that different in the Corps. Every 13F I ever talked to loved their job.
HIMARS sounds good, too.

My husband was an 0811. His basic description of that job.

Monday:fire the gun
Tuesday: clean the gun
Wednesday:clean the gun
Thursday: clean the gun
Friday: clean the gun

There is no glamor in this job I promise.

I was a 13B in the Army, the equivalent of a Marine 0811 and I can say that I loved my job. There's nothing like putting big bullets down range, granted, you do have to clean the guns afterwards...But everyone has to clean their gear once they use it, Artilleryman, tankers, and infantryman alike. Glamour is for fighter pilots. Not much glamour in any grunt MOS, unless killing the enemy is glamourous.

If you're going to bash a service, you might want to check your facts. And until you have served, you have no right to bash a specific service to begin with. This is your warning.

I dont think we need the marines all they do is wait for the army to get there and do something and the marines try to pul it off as that they did it and take the credit. The army sculpted america. The marines say that they were formed in 1775, my ass, but if they were than why was thier first fight in 1944. America saves the best for last send the weak first. Thats why the marines are first.

Shiat! Hand me the popcorn, I can´t wait to see O3 get ahold of this never was..hahah Priceless!

Mileskiddo, forget about SF mate.
If that is how you are going to act around other branches from your own country how are you gonna handle a FID with a local tribe?
Interservice rivalry is cute and all, but maybe, just maybe you should do some **** first. I mean before you cut down a random branch..

Neither of americas branches are particularly old.. You´ll learn that when you first come into contact with a country that has history..

Have a good day.

Sorry, everyone in my schools is making fun of me and the army because they say the marines are best and everything and that the armys are for wimps and crap like that. I tryed to hold it in and everything but I kinda lost it a little. Most of the time I can take a beating but I hade to deal with this since I wanted to join. Sorry everyone.

Well, feel free to pass along to them what I (and probably everyone one else here would) tell you now...

Unless they've served, they have ZERO room to talk about who's better. The only people who've earned the privilege to inter-service rivalry are those who wear, or have worn the uniform.

And as a side note to you, just because the other kids at school make fun of you for it, that doesn't mean you're allowed to bash a service on here.
