AP - U.S. military helicopters launched an extremely rare attack Sunday on Syrian territory close to the border with Iraq, killing eight people in a strike the government in Damascus condemned as serious aggression.

Perhaps they might've been better to write it down as 'hot pursuit' rather than measured assault............

This conflict is long, ongoing and has more shades of grey than you can poke a stick at, but we can surely agree that if one side can strike at the Americans without warning, then it's only fair that the Americans deal in kind..... (my opinion)
