I saw the press conference on this on TVCentro this week and I have to say even as a conservative I cringed. Zoellick and the US Ambassador both came off like the Ugly American. The populace of Nicaragua is pizzed off and neither one of these knuckleheads seemed to realize what they were spouting was crass and inflammatory.
Not to say I trust Ortega or his lot. Nor do I relish the thought of red bandana wearing AK toting Sandanistas parading thru the streets of Managua again but geez what happened to diplomacy?
But the situation does bear watching as your liable to see Chavez and Castro helping Danny Ortega out here in the future.
