Milforum Mac Daddy
I picked up a US model 1896 Krag Carbine today for $100. In 100% correct condition for a rifle made in 1896.

Not bad for a rifle made in 1896 and put into service in 1897. I think a 112 year old rifle can show it's age.... I've wanted one soooooo long and I finally have one.

Just recently on Gunbroker.com a same model Krag in the same condition sold at auction for $2,500. I only ave $100 invested in this rifle.

Customer came into the store today with a number of firearms that he wanted to sell. Most were old beater guns. Single Shot .410 Shotguns, old Charter Arms Revolvers, etc... Mostly old cheap priced (good quality) firearms. Things that aren't worth much and that will sell quickly. But within the batch was this little mint of a Carbine. Jokingly I offered the guy $100 for it and he took it.

I'm not going to say no to that. I run a business and the point of said business is to invest as little as much into my products and sell them for as a much as I can and make profit.

Well.... this little carbine isn't for sell. I cleaned her up (light oil and some rags) and I plan to shot her on Wednesday.

I'm not calling you a liar, but...

those photos ARE of the M1896 carbine that sold on Gunbroker for $2,525 on 10/30/08 (Auction #113476624). You even linked to the auction photo urls instead of copying them to your PC and uploading them. So, either you just wanted to show us all pics of another Model 1896 carbine that looks like the one you cheated your customer out of for $100, or the whole story is made up. Which is it?
