BAGHDAD - Insurgents killed a US marine in the western Iraqi province of
Al-Anbar, bringing to 14 the number of troops who have died over the past
four days, the US military said Wednesday.
The marine was killed in "enemy action" on Tuesday, it said in a statement.
The latest fatality brought the US military's losses in Iraq since the March
2003 invasion to 2,633, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
