US marine killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- A US marine serving at a forward unit near
Fallujah, west of Baghdad, has been killed, the U.S. military announced
late Saturday.
The marine, who was assigned to the 2nd Marine Logistics Group, died on
Friday of what was described as a "non-hostile gunshot wound," the Marines
said in a statement.
No further details were given. The incident was under investigation, it
said.
According to the update tally of a Pentagon website, 2,156 members of
the US military have been killed since the beginning of the Iraq war in
March 2003.

Friendly Fire maybe? or just bad luck somehow? reminds me of an episode some months ago where a grenade was triggered while unloading a truck :p no soldiers were killed though :p
