Hello everyone.
Few days ago my father found this machine in Bremen, Germany (western part of country).
While he was wandering with his friends on abandoned military area, he found this machine:

And here comes my question. Do You people happen to know what type of machine it is? I've already searched on google and wikis, tank by tank, but I am unable to identify it.
I thougth it might be soviet tank, but I doubt there were any of them in this part of germany.

I'll be grateful for any intel :tank:

Looks like a very stripped down M47 Patton medium tank with a T-42 turret to me.

The Bundeswehr used M-47s until the early 1960's.

Here is a picture of it from head on...

Note the location of the two hatches at the top of the hull, shape of the turret and the location of the hull mounted machine gun port as well as the main gun mantle design.

No problem, I admit that when I first saw it I thought the turret looked Russian as well but it was the location of the two hatches on the hull that gave it away.

I am amazed though that no one has grabbed it for restoration though as M-47 was not made for long due to a large number of issues.
