UAE reports ship seizure with NKorea arms for Iran (AP)

AP - The United Arab Emirates has seized a cargo ship earlier this month bound for Iran with a cache of banned arms from North Korea, the first such seizure since sanctions against North Korea were ramped up, diplomats and officials told The Associated Press Friday.

They're probably going to want to keep that under wraps.
I suppose the illegal arms trade is too valuable for the North Koreans to just give up.

It's also very profitable to the UAE so we may never find out what's on board that ship.

I don't think they can go ahead and sell the contents on that ship.
I'm not sure what the UN's SOP on seized weapons are but resale seems somewhat unlikely. Most likely destruction after careful documentation.

Just speculating here but I don't imagine the UAE would ever sell that stuff. They may never fully disclose what's there either simply because doing so could shed light on their own arms dealings.

Maybe but this cargo was going from North Korea to Iran and was a mission endorsed/run by the UN. So I somehow doubt it.
