Ukraine's parliament called on the U.S. and Britain to protect its borders and independence !!

Reuters reported, Ukrainian parliament asked the United Nations Security Council held a meeting to discuss the current crisis in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian parliament also called on the U.S. and Britain support the memorandum signed in 1994. Under the MOU, Ukraine to give up its nuclear arsenal, the United Kingdom, Russia, the United States ensure independence and border.

Russian troops in the Crimea are a violation of the United Nations Charter Article 2.4

All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations

Both Russia and Ukraine are UN member states.

It is not because the Crimea used to be part of a former Russian empire that they have the right to invade it. There was no UNC resolution whatsoever to give them the green light. Their "we are allowed to protect Russians in Ukraine" has no legal basis in international law.

The West has no need to start a war with Russia because it is economically very vulnerable. The fighting has not yet even begun and the Russian Central bank had to intervene to save the Ruble. Although militarily Ukraine is no match for Russia, the war won't be as easy as with Georgia. Lots of body bags will show up in Russia.
