BAGHDAD, Nov 20 (AFP) - Two US servicemen were killed in insurgent attacks
in Iraq Sunday, bringing to eight the number of US military personnel killed
in the past two days, the US military announced.

A marine died of wounds sustained after being hit by small arms fire while
taking part in combat operations in Karmah, 60 kilometres (40 miles) west of
Baghdad, it said.

Earlier, the military said a soldier was shot dead while on patrol north of
Baghdad Sunday.

On Saturday, six US servicemen died in a series of roadside bombings in
western Iraq and north of the capital.

The latest deaths bring to at least 2,094 the number of US military
personnel killed in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion, according to an AFP
tally based on the independent Iraq Coalition Casualty Count.
