BAGHDAD, Iraq_A U.S. soldier was killed Wednesday by small arms fire in
northeastern Baghdad, the U.S. command said.
It also reported the death of another soldier, who was killed by a roadside
bomb blast northeast of the city Tuesday. The soldier died in an afternoon
bomb attack on his vehicle, the command said in a statement.
A third soldier died in "a non-combat incident" in Baghdad on Wednesday
morning, the military said in a separate statement. It did not provide any
details of the incident, but said it was under investigation.
The soldiers names were not released while military officials contact their
families.
