This is a good site to get fairly unbiased assessment of Political ads. They are rated from True down to "Pants on Fire false".

There is even a Obama meter rating the Presidents statements. It seems pretty even handed.
Might surprise some here, both Democrat or Republican what is or is not true.
Example: Taxpayers pay $18,000 a month for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's district office in downtown San Francisco.
True. (Federal Tax payers).
Example: John McCain "voted against the tax cuts of 2001 and 2003, wrongly claiming they helped only the rich."
Mostly True.
