Truck bomb in central Kabul kills eight, wounds over 100

"A truck bomb detonated close to an army compound," Kabul police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi said. It was an unusually powerful blast in a city that is frequently targeted by the Taliban and other militants seeking to destabilize the Afghan government.
