DENVER - San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson reached 100 touchdowns faster than any player in NFL history Sunday night, scoring on two 3-yard runs and a 51-yard catch against the Denver Broncos.
Tomlinson scored three times and has scored 18 touchdowns in the last six games. He reached 100 in his 89th game, four games faster than Hall of Famers Jim Brown and Emmitt Smith.
Tomlinson scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter and added a 3-yard TD run in the third to get to the century mark. As usual, he didn't have a big celebration. He simply tucked the ball in his left arm and walked off the field to the Chargers bench.
Tomlinson's second score cut Denver's lead to 24-14 late in the third quarter, and he got his 101st on a 51-yard catch and run a few minutes later, making it 24-21.
