after only three days without internet, i was a quivering wreck
 
I feel the same way when talking to my friend's husband who is a native of Scotland. Most of the time I just smile and nod......
 
American is the only accent i have trouble with. Especially with the tourists that come to Australia.

Personally, I think they [The tourists] are all stooges. The way they ask me stuff, they might as well have said 'Howdy, friend! Im from America, Australias greatest and most trusted ally!'.

The snow is beginning to melt. Nice and not nice. Now I can see all the (enormous amount of) doggy poo laying around. Great, time to get out the shovel. Yuck.

Oh brother, you don't KNOW hard accents until you try and understand a SOUTHERN American accent. We have a special breed of American dialect. ;)

Ain't that the truth. Its especially bad if you hit Louisiana. Rednecks with hot sauce, as Jeff Foxworthy would say. :p And completely impossible to understand unless you're one of them. ;)
