When I was in Cyprus we had a guy who stole a car - turned out to be the Chief of Police's car. He then went one better and whilst we were in the Falklands he stole CSB (Cbt Support Boat).

When i went with our unit overseas many years ago, we had to build our own camp arrange the water supplies and every thing else. Now as stores where not very forthcoming we used to go out in our lorries and visit others camps. Now it did not matter even if it was nailed down it was on the back of the lorry and back to our base. We stole so much stuff all our vehicles were banned from every military base on the island.
