Navy,,, at one point Dad was HA1c. I know 1c means first class. What does the HA stand for?? Please and thank you help me with this one.

It looks like it may be Hospital Apprentice, not sure what the 1c means.

Thanks Sarah. He was studying to be a medic...at one of the Marine Corp Hospitals. The last military paper ended in '51 and I'll tell you about some day...........
