Theodore Roosevelt

I know I added a bunch of Andrew Jackson quotes below this and this seems to be a bit repetitive, but the following is good too. I looked at the two Theodore Roosevelt quotes that are there and I must say they are inspiring and I haven't seen them before. Here is one of his most famous one which is not present. He wrote (not sure what book he wrote or weather they were memiors) in reference to his service in the Spanish-American War were he led the Rough Riders (First U.S. Volunteer Cavalry) at San Juan Hill

"All men who feel any power of joy in battle, know what itis like when the wolf rises in the heart" - Theodore Roosevelt

Despite that quote his Presidentcy was very peaceful and prosperous!

Thanks for that. I won't claim Teddy Roosevelt is a favourite of mine - I always feel he did the opposite of speaking softly and carrying a big stick- but your quote is certainly a useful addition to the files here. On a point of information, it comes from Roosevelt's The Rough Riders (1899), a memoir of his time in the Spanish-American War.
