Thanksgiving a Celebration of private property

Linky Too bad the teachers like to indoctrinate kids with communalism.

Hahahaha.... next thing you'll will blame us for is that we make kids work in groups. Perhaps we should quit with team sports too, because it leads to communalism... Get real man!
a) teaching kids about any subject isn't indoctrination.
b) working together isn't a bad thing.
c) perhaps those Plymouth settlers were just a bunch of lazy, opportunistic illegal aliens (they certainly hadn't the right papers). So perhaps John Stossel could blame illegal aliens better than a pre-industrial societal organisation. The fact the communalism has worked, and still works, in many poor countries, didn't form the characters of those settlers.
Plymouth settlers faked illness rather than working the common property. Some even stole, despite their Puritan convictions.
Not even the Tea Party can blame this on a political system.... or parhaps they can, but than you should know what time it is? Funny paper time... What a joke!

It is when the teachers teach that the Pilgrims did well because the Indians helped them out, instead of they came close to starving trying a commune style & then prospered when they went to privatly owned land. Of course were all tought by other teachers who probably never knew that they were off the mark all along. That's the whole point of historical reaserch, some things generraly accepted didn't happen the way it is believed. While some communal life styles work, most fail becuse of human nature, unless it's a society that won't tolerate parasites.

Indoctrination of communalism = SHARING.

ROFLMAO

Look, I'll admit that letting everyone provide for themselves is a good concept when it comes to the basic necessity for food, but there is so much more to life than that! If it was all as simple as growing corn, I'm sure there wouldn't be any homeless people, but we've evolved past that particular level in Maslow's hierarchy. Unfortunately, the closer to self-actualization we get, the harder it becomes to attain and maintain.

And THAT is where it becomes important for humans to stick together. If I remember correctly, isolationism doesn't turn out too well, either. ;)
