While visiting the Forum Rules and Information at http://www.military-quotes.com/forum/faq.php?faq=forum_rules_features#faq_forum_rules I came through the link to "MIPS Knowledgebase: terrorists and terrorist organizations". This link is wrong or not updated, as it brings to an error page.
I think it is essential to have a shared definition of terrorism and terrorist organizations. Opinions and sensitivities can be quite different in different countries. The same people can be terrorists in some eyes and freedom fighters in other eyes. I would not mention any example from present times, but if you think to the past, just consider a man like the "Two Worlds Hero" Giuseppe Garibaldi. A national hero in Italy and some South American countries, highly respected in many others, but a terrorist and a bandit in the eyes of the highly civilized Austro Hungarian Empire and Kingdom.
I urge the administrators/moderators of this forum to update the definition of terrorism and terrorists.
