That was quite the kaboom. Not something you want to be standing near when it happens.

For the information of those of us who haven't seen this type of explosion before, it is what is called a BLEVE a Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapour Explosion.

Just Google "BLEVE" for an explanation. They are possibly one of the most dangerous possibilities in modern firefighting.
