A new style of Systema, Systema RRB, which stands for Russian Combat Style was started recently.

What they did was they combined the martial arts systems of many different peoples of Russian Federation, including

Mongolian wrestling practiced in Russia by Buriats, Tyvans, Yakuts, and Kalmyks.

A form of hand-to-hand combat practiced by Turkic peoples, popular in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. In Russia, widely practiced in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Dagestan.

Slavic men in what is now Russia were profficient in this long before Europe knew about boxing. These days, we Cossacks dominate this sport (last picture, Cossacks), take Gold every Village Olympics.

And other native styles were combined also, like Izvor, which I already mentioned.
