Syria ships Scuds to Hizbullah

Looks like Hizbullah has added a new weapon to their standoff ballistic arsenal. This could add a new layer of complications if Israel ever moved to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities. Hizbullah's rocket forces were surprisingly successful when paired with a stubborn tactical defense in 2006. The addition of Scud missiles, with larger payloads and greater accuracy than anything they've launched before, could potentially shift the balance towards deterrence.

Is there any independent confirmation of this happening ie. something that isn't Israeli claims and Syrian denials as it seems like a rather reckless move on Syria's part if true.

"American and French officials have both said that they were aware of the Israeli concerns but did not know whether the missiles had actually been delivered."

Tough to tell so far. It's been covered by dozens of American news outlets, but whether we can be sure...its too soon to tell I guess. Iran has supplied Hizbullah with advanced rockets like the Fajr-5 since before 2006. There is a precedent for this, though I'm unsure if Syria has ever supplied Hizbulah with artillery rockets.
