BAGHDAD, Nov 23 (AFP) - An Iraqi Sunni Arab tribal chief and four of his
sons were shot dead Wednesday at dawn in Baghdad by men wearing army
uniforms who raided their home, police said.
The gunmen, who arrived aboard some 10 army-type vehicles, broke into the
southeast Baghdad home around 4 am (0100 GMT) and shot Sheikh Fadel Sarhid
Ali and his sons before escaping.
Both Sunni and Shiite religious and political leaders are regularly targeted
by death squads in Iraq.
