Sunglases for field use

Hey my friend is deploying in a month or so to Afghanistan and he has a birthday in a week so I'm going to England to buy him a present probably London, was wondering if anyone could suggest good sunglasses for use in the field to addition to his goggles and there's a very wide choice and alot of reviews so I don't really know what to get but it would be a great present and I already know what everyone else is getting price range is about 300 pounds (thats around 400 dollars I guess) anyone has something they used to suggest, maybe the brand or at best the model I know couple of people who use ESS but maybe there's something better.

Any help will be much appreciated.
 
Oakleys are the norm for US troops. Buy him one of the military grades if you can find them.
 
I've been using the Oakley Radar (with the shooting sports lenses) in Iraq for a while now. Great field of view, and they meet all the required protection standards (minimum of Z 87)

Got me a pair of M-frames, almost impossible to break them buggers.
