BAGHDAD, Iraq - (AP) A suicide car bomber targeted a police
patrol in Baghdad Monday afternoon, killing six policemen and three
civilians, a hospital official said.
The attack occurred in Baghdad's southern neighborhood of Dora, an
insurgent stronghold, said Mohanad Jawad, an official of the Yarmouk
Hospital.
Insurgents have targeted policemen and soldiers because they
consider them agents for foreign occupation troops.
